A really cool healing idea...

I was on a conference call yesterday with Dr. Michael Beckwith, who recently shot to stardom because of his presence in the movie The Secret. He's such a cool guy, and he suggested a really cool idea.

He was talking about how a lot of us--those who are especially sensitive to the shifting, whirling global energies--are having a hard time reading or watching the news, because the stories we read or hear are so horrendous, violent and hate-filled. He suggested that, instead of taking in the horror and fear, or ignoring it completely, use each headline as a prayer request.

Beckwith explained that the reason these stories are surfacing into our mass consciousness is to bring attention to the need for healing these circumstance. Therefore, he suggests, it would behoove us to pay attention to the ones that cause us to feel pulled to them, because we have an energetic attachment to whatever that story may be. We may then begin to pray for the healing of that situation.

This idea makes reading or watching the news fun and exciting! "What's out there today for me to send love and light to?" The side benefit to this process is that it helps to bring more love and light into your own life, because you can't give what you don't have. Therefore, by sending it, you bring it to you ... THROUGH you! You become a constant conduit for love, light and healing, which can't help but improve your own life, in addition to those for whom you pray!
